MACH Solutions History

Born from more than a century of industry experience, MACH Solutions traces its roots to NB Handy, a trusted name in HVAC and roofing distribution since 1891. For decades, the company supplied fabricators with the materials and tools they needed to succeed—naturally leading to the formation of a dedicated machinery division. In 1992, the Machinery Division was officially established in Lynchburg, Virginia, to serve the growing demand for high-quality sheet metal fabrication equipment and service. For many years, it operated under the NB Handy name before being rebranded to NBH Machinery and later evolving into MACH Solutions to reflect our specialized focus, growth, and expansion into new markets.

Our Lynchburg facility became the foundation of our success—offering both new and used machinery sales, replacement parts, and expert service. Over time, we expanded into a full-service machinery operation featuring a drive-in paint booth, a complete fabrication and repair shop, and a team of factory-trained field service technicians specializing in refurbishments, rebuilds, and retrofits.

Today, MACH Solutions stands as one of the largest machinery dealers in North America, representing premier product lines and delivering innovative solutions to the sheet metal fabrication industry. With 54,000 square feet of warehouse space, an unmatched in-stock inventory of new and used machinery, the largest in-house repair and fabrication facility in the Mid-Atlantic, and a dedicated field service fleet, MACH Solutions provides the equipment, expertise, and responsiveness our customers rely on to keep their operations running strong.
